St. Johnswort is very common across the Colville Reservation and can be seen growing in a variety of habitats, from rangeland, pasture to forested areas. 

Common St. Johnswort causes a variety of animal health problems including; severe skin lesions and necrosis when the skin becomes hypersensitive to sunlight. 

It can grow 1-2.5 feet in height. Each leaf is spotted with tiny translucent purplish-black dots.
